The 100 KM club is a PAC run initiative during the months of April, May and June. It encourages students to set personal goals and invites them to run (or walk) around the park before school and at lunch on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (weather permitting). Times are 8:15 am to 8:45 am, and 12:30 pm to 12:45 pm.
The 100 KM club is supervised by parent volunteers, so the more volunteers we have, the better. Volunteer duties involve taking the km club bin from the office at either 8:10 am or 12:25 pm on the specific days and going out to the playground where the students meet. Before each student may begin their run (or walk), a mark is placed on their hand to signify they are participating. For each lap they run, students receive a ticket to represent the km they ran. Students’ tickets are collected by classroom teachers after lunch, and the number of laps they ran is recorded at the end of each week on the bulletin board outside of the office.
The start date of the 2019 100KM Club will be announced closer to April2, 2019 . Please sign up for a shift on the 100 KM board across from the office when it becomes available.
