If you have a child with learning challenges and wish to gain a better understanding of what it is like to have a learning disability - then this workshop is for you.
A trained facilitator from the Learning Disabilities Association of Vancouver will put participants through a series of fun and interactive simulations and exercises that will give everyone a feeling and better understanding of what a child or adult with learning disabilities experiences every single day of their lives.
This is an interactive and hands on workshop. All participants will be given a booklet that includes information on learning disabilities and helpful teaching strategies. Older siblings of high school age could also attend so they have a better idea how their siblings learn.
Time: 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm Location: Staff Room at Carnarvon School Cost: $5 / participant
