Carnarvon Community School Gift Certificate Fundraiser 2008

What is it?
- The PAC purchases gift certificates (GCs) from large well known retailers at a discount. The PAC resells the GCs at face value and the PAC keeps the difference as a fundraiser.
- GC sales supports the school at no cost to families.
- The PAC will buy much needed items for our school including sports & outdoor equipment for each classroom.
- Families purchase what they will use on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Participate by planning regular weekly household purchases at retailers offering to support our school.
- Great for gifts.
- The PAC will sell GCS monthly through the remainder of the school year.
How does it work?
- Review list of participating merchants on attached form.
- Decide what to purchase and indicate quantity and total amount.
- Return order form and cheque payable to Carnarvon Community School PAC to the school by Friday, December 5.
- Completed forms may also be emailed to carnarvonfundraising[at]gmail[dot]com.
Pick-up orders on December 16 & 17 at school. If you are unable to pick up your GCs at that time please contact carnarvonfundgraising[at]gmail[dot]com or Stephanie Petersen at 604-738-1572 to make special arrangements.
The Fine Print:
- Gift Certificates are the same as cash therefore we will request parents pick them up at the school.
- There are three types of gift cards/certificates: Declining Balance (“DB”), Change Back Shopping Certificate (“C”) which means change is given if total purchase is less than certificate amount (example White Spot), and No Change Back Shopping Certificate (“NC”) which means if you don’t use all the certificate, no change is given. Please note the type of card you are purchasing by reviewing the code next to the vendor’s name for “DB, C or NC”.
